Lebanese driver Roger Feghali and his co-driver Joseph Mattar, the official duo of TOYOTA GAZOO RACING LEBANON, reaffirmed their dominance in rally racing after claiming victory in the 12th edition of the Jezzine Rally, the second round of the 2025 Lebanese Rally Championship. They competed behind the wheel of a race-prepped Toyota GR Yaris R2.

The rally, organized by the Automobile and Touring Club of Lebanon (ATCL) in the Jezzine district, attracted a large crowd of motorsport enthusiasts. Held in hot summer weather, the event covered a total distance of 237.02 km, including 93.18 km of seven special speed stages — one of which was a show stage held on the streets of Jezzine.
From the very first stage, Feghali and Mattar imposed absolute control over the rally, backed by the outstanding performance of the Toyota GR Yaris. The car demonstrated engineering excellence drawn from global rally experience, combining structural strength, advanced suspension, and precise steering response. This allowed the crew to steadily widen the gap from their nearest rivals.
The vehicle, built to the highest safety standards and equipped with a high-performance engine, endured the tough conditions of the special stages, helping the team maintain their lead all the way to the finish line.
Feghali managed to increase the gap significantly from his chasers, who battled for second place — particularly Rabih Ayoub, Elias Dahdah, and Abou Hamdan, the latter of whom had to retire due to a mechanical failure.
Feghali clocked the best time in all seven stages of the race and completed the rally in under an hour — a rare achievement that stands as a testament to both him and his team.
This victory marks the first triumph for TOYOTA GAZOO RACING LEBANON on the Lebanese rally scene and highlights the successful partnership between the team and its stars, Feghali and Mattar. The team promises more achievements in the upcoming rounds, which will culminate in the prestigious Rally of Lebanon.
