More and more families are suffering from restricted access to educational venues as school attendance have been hindered by COVID-19 as well as the poor economic situation. Subsequently, fifteen percentage of families stopped their children’s education.

More than ever, education must be re-introduced and strengthened within Lebanon’s youth. Research has proved that reading not only increases children’s mental capacity and comprehension – but also helps reduce stress, depression and anxiety issues. For these reasons - this year, the Toyota Lebanon (BUMC s.a.l.) team has organized “Read with Toyota” sessions to bring children together and improve literacy with an exciting series of books.

Through these sessions – the fourth goal of the United Nation’s Sustainable Development Goal is achieved, as it aims to “ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all.” In addition, entertainment and healthy snacks will be provided.
