Toyota Prius the first Hybrid car in Lebanon

BUMC, the exclusive distributor of Toyota and Lexus in Lebanon, gave an enriching awareness presentation by Mr. Salim Wakim, sales department at BUMC to LAU students, during which students were briefed on the miracles of the Hybrid Technology, with fuel-efficient and environmentally-friendly cars.<br /><br />Toyota&rsquo;s PRIUS is a Latin word meaning &ldquo;to go before&rdquo;. Toyota had chosen this name specifically because the PRIUS vehicle is the predecessor of cars to come. PRIUS is a combined hybrid that can be propelled by gasoline and/or electric power.&nbsp;<br /><br />All sorts of important questions were raised, including how much can hybrid cars affect CO2 emission; how do hybrid cars help reduce global warming; and, last but not least, how important is the potential of hybrid cars energy saving.&nbsp;<br />
