Toyota Prius and BUMC honored to be a part of Lebanese American University (LAU) - Automotive Engineering Day

Its efforts are not consolidated to just automotive manufacturing, but leading the future of mobility, as evident in its research and development with hybrid technology and other sustainable technologies.

Promoting the same innovative spirit - BUMC s.a.l., the exclusive distributor of Toyota and Lexus in Lebanon, was honored to take part of the Lebanese American University (LAU) - Automotive Engineering Day held at the Byblos Campus on April 22, 2017. Bright Engineering students and faculty attended the event held under the patronage of His Excellency Minister Caesar Abi Khalil, Ministry of Energy & Water.
During the day of presentations (one given by Mr. Rudy Chammas from Toyota Motor Europe) and workshops, engineering students - gathered around the Toyota Prius to learn about the hybrid synergy drive and technology behind the vehicle showcase from BUMC’s General Service Manager, Mr. Jihad Lakkis who is also an Engineer.
To continue the education, students were then invited to test drive the Toyota Prius at its headquarters, Toyota-Lexus City.
