Toyota Prius: Toyota’s Flagship Hybrid Electric Vehicle
Shaped by exceptional aerodynamics and enhanced driving dynamics, the Prius transcends the current concept of what a hybrid vehicle can be. Take a step beyond and break through to a new world. Complementing the vehicle’s futuristic design and comfortable cabin is the outstanding driving and environmental performance enabled by a fuel-efficient and powerful engine.

ENGINE & MECHANICAL FEATURES
The Prius can be driven entirely on electrical power with zero-fuel consumption and tailpipe emissions, or by combining the power generated from both the petrol engine and two electric motors, depending on the vehicle’s speed and customer’s driving behavior. Its hybrid batteries are continuously charged by either the petrol engine or when decelerating and braking, eliminating the need to plug in a power cord. Furthermore, the hybrid electric model features a host of advanced technologies, yet drives like any other conventional vehicle and does not require special fuel.
- 1.8L 4-Cylinder Engine (95 HP) with Hybrid Synergy Drive Electric Motor (71 HP)
- Hybrid System Net Power: 121 HP
- Electronically Controlled Continuously Variable Transmission (ECVT)
- Driving Mode Switch (EV/Eco/Power)
- Front-Wheel Drive
- Electric Power Steering
TECHNOLOGY
Toyota continues to play a leading role in constantly innovating and developing technologies that protect the environment, which is also a strategic imperative that forms the cornerstone of the company’s business. Electrification of vehicles has been an indispensable focus for Toyota since 1997 and the company has launched a variety of HEVs in the past two decades under the lead of the Toyota Prius. The hybrid system mates a motor that provides power at low speeds with an engine that delivers it at high speeds, and optimizes control of both for efficient driving performance.

EXTERIOR
FEATURES
The Prius’ sharp lines, sleek panels and aerodynamic fins all work in tandem to ensure smooth airflow, which in turn further improve its fuel efficiency. Each of the Prius’ futuristic features is purposely engineered to turn heads wherever you go.

* The SRS airbags are supplemental devices to be used with the seatbelts. The driver and all passengers in the vehicle must wear their seatbelts properly at all times. Never install a rear-facing CRS (Child Restraint System) on the front passenger’s seat. For a forward-facing CRS, it is recommended you use it in the rear seats. Please do not use accessories for the seats which cover the parts where the SRS side airbags should inflate. Such accessories may prevent the SRS side airbags from activating correctly, causing serious injury. The photo shows all the SRS airbags activated for display purposes only (the SRS side and curtain shield airbags only inflate on the side of the collision in an actual accident). For details on these and other important safety features, be sure to read the Owner’s Manual carefully.
** People and obstacles that show in the monitor differ from the actual position and distance. Do not rely completely on the monitor and make sure you check the safety around the vehicle with your own eyes when driving.
